Christmas time is a great time to get married. Why? Because most venues are already decorated! If you love twinkling lights, roaring fires and mulled wine then a Christmas wedding might be your calling.
Josh and Rosie made the most of the festive season and said their wedding vows at the beautiful church in Grendon, Northamptonshire on 22nd December.
The church door was adorned with some impressive seasonal foliage, once in the church guests were greeted by a huge Christmas tree, a hanging ornament added just for Rosie and Josh.
The bridesmaids wore dark green in keeping with the season and the groomsmen wore ties to match. Did you know in many countries Father Christmas actually wears a green suit, not a red one?
The festive theme continued into the reception, a marquee in the bride’s parents’ garden. Mistletoe decorated the kegs, place settings on the table included candy canes and of course there were fairy lights galore.
My only recommendation when choosing to have a winter wedding would be to think of your ceremony time, the day gets dark early and you don’t want to be rushing your photos to make the most of the daylight.
