Kathryn and Matt – The Old Bridge, Huntingdon

Kathryn and Matt married on a beautiful sunny day in June at the Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon. Perfectly situated in the town centre of Huntingdon and just a short taxi ride away from Huntingdon train station.

The 18th Century hotel is drenched in ivy, making a photo in front of the building essential.

Wandering through a narrow upstairs corridor to find the bridal prep room I never would have expected the beautiful, spacious bathroom where Kathryn stepped into her wedding dress and had her final make-up touches completed. To say I was obsessed was an understatement. Can all wedding venues have one of these gorgeous baths please?

Their ceremony took place in the Dining Room, a room with beautiful wood panels and high ceilings.

Reception drinks and games took place in the courtyard away from all the main hustle and bustle of the venue. Consequently, this gave the wedding a separate space and bar area and a more intimate, private feel.

The Old Bridge Huntingdon backs onto the river with a beautiful view. This are is a perfect, quiet area for couple portraits. Despite the venue not having a huge amount of green open space there are surprisingly a lot of photogenic spots around.

Lastly, once their wedding breakfast and speeches were over, Kathryn, Matt and their guests danced the night away to a live band.

“Wow! I love them so much, thank you! Kathryn”
