Bluebell photoshoots in the Cambridgeshire woodlands
One of my favourite times of year is when the bluebells bloom. I’m lucky to live on a place surrounded by ancient woodland where these beautiful flowers carpet the ground making for fairytale family photos.
Are bluebells native to the UK?
Did you know, almost half the world’s bluebells are found in the UK? These beautiful flowers are protected in the UK so being cautious whilst taking photos amongst them is essential. The best way to photograph them is to have the bluebells in between the photographer and their subjects, at the right angle it looks as though they are amongst the flowers, despite not treading on them at all.
When do bluebells flower?
During April and May I run mini bluebell photoshoot sessions in the woods. These work well for family photos as well as couple photos. Dogs are also welcome as long as they’re kept under control to prevent damage to the bluebells. You can read more about the family photoshoots here or book a bluebell photoshoot via this online link
Why book a bluebell photoshoot?
We’re lucky enough in the UK to have carpets of bluebells in our woods. This is however super unique to the UK, so not only does a bluebell photoshoot provide an experience that you can’t get in many other places in the world, but the photos give a unique magical feel. Bluebell photoshoots are suitable for families, couples and pets.
